Hold On
The edge
of her lips:
the edge
of her world
to hold on to
for dear life
and the rim
of uncertainty
that leads upward
to a smile
or to flesh
of tongue
and language
of feral love
and the border
of uncertainty
beyond the tropic
of Capricorn
where margin
for existence
in manna and
desire turns
ripe with certainty
upon sultry
touch and the taste
of the radiant
dew of her lips.

id love it if you could tell me what you think...if it seems depressing, i cant help that, althou i'll be happy the message got across.
LIFE
i hate life
life sucks
you wanna know what life is
life is that giant metal turtle eating my soul
did i mention life sucks
try and be me for a minute
all this freedom
right there!
and none of it for you
the tasty toffee apple that stands for everything i lack
the innocent happiness of youth
to celebrate Halloween, just the once, i thought this year id do it
but once again my dreams have shattered
you smash the toffee apple right before my eyes
so all i can do is watch the juice trickle away
and whats the moral of the story
once again, isnt it obvious
dont try, no failure will befall you
dont hope, no disappointment will you find
dont cling to toffee apples,
because if you do
the mallet will smash you too.
plz tell me what u think
It leans towards Sylvia Plath. The part about not clinging to toffee apples is the best part. More of what is inside of you...we don't know as reader why we should care if a mallett hits you...other than being a human being, often that isn't enough for readers.
yeah, your right, i need to work on giving my characters depth...seems kinda hard, but i'll try.
